i dont think that Lebron is better than Kobe.. for one thing Lebron's team has a lot of offensive machines that you would not dare leave wide open. So basically Lebron has a lot of help coming from his team mates and his team mates serve as a distraction for the other team. See Lebron can score i give him that; but Kobe is a heck of a leader and he has amazing clutch. When the game is on the line you go to Kobe.

Cmon now peoples. Now days people have become athlete haters rather than repectful critics. The point is, Kobe is better than LeBron. Kobe is a natural player who may not fly high or have the force Lebron James has but uses his NBA I.Q.. to make critical game desicion's. I am not even going to provide my proof of Kobe's 5 NBA title's to Lebron's 0. I dont need to. By the way, who do most NBA coaches want to take a fourth quarter cluth shot? not James thats for sure. Lebron James still needs to learn how to slow down the game an invision game desicions. James still gets the ball and tries to fly down the court. Think about it? How can you measure ONE man's skill by a team stat like Championship titles? lol RIDICULOUS. If you die-hard Kobe fans didn't know who these two players were & I showed you their stat sheets, you'd pick LeBron right off the back. How's about this for a stat. LeBron is 9-5 against Kobe for his career (outscoring Kobe in 9 of their 14 meetings) Not to mention he's done it with 2 completely different teams. A better scorer, passer, rebounder, defender & more efficient. Kobe has 5 rings & only 2 Finals MVP awards. Obviously, he's had TONS of help. You don't go 6/24 in game 7 of the finals & win unless you've got the team to carry you. Kobe is great & has accomplished more because he's been in the league TWICE as long, but LeBron is the flat out better overall player. & for those asking if LeBron can score 81, he would NEVER have a game like that. He'd have more like 65 pts, 12 rebs, 11 asts, 3 stls, 2 blks. LeBron isn't selfish enough to take that many shots. Phil Jackson, himself stated that Kobe can go crazy at times & try to take over the game with his shooting & resulted in a lot of losses. LeBron carries his team. The Lakers carry Kobe.

The question was who's better, Kobe or LeBron not who's better, the Lakers or the Cavs! I believe that the Lakers are a better TEAM than the Cavs this year even though the Cavs have the best record in the NBA. Yes! Kobe has "4 rings in his hands" but you cannot forget that 3 of the 4 rings came courtesy of the 3-time NBA Finals MVP Shaquille O'Neal. Kobe was a vital contributer, but he WAS NOT the leader on those 3 teams. Simply put, if you switch Kobe for Lebron, the Lakers would a better team and would STILL win the championship. The Cavs would not. So, Lebron is just better.

Hey people: stats don't lie, as it proves enough(points per game,assist, rebounds, block shots)-- name it, these are the things that Lebron have had proven. He's a better all-around player than Kobe. I used to play basketball and has won 2 MVP's "though of course Am not an NBA player" -- and those are what I'd admired with the King. I agree that Kobe perhaps is a good shooter (but not as good as MJ the icon), but as you know Kobe -- he's a player to go shoot-it-first before passing (the likes of AI). Unlike, King James he is so amazing -- he's very intelligent player, he often creates a move to free-up his teammates to have an easy basket, in most cases he passes the ball when needed. Imagine scoring HIGH in every games he played with lot of assist per game (to include steals & block shots), and he did this consistently. Does any other player have those unslefish way of playing basketball? This man deserves to be the King. Look, take a deep breath -- then try to look all the good players of the NBA (most of them are the usual shoot-it-first player, a one-man-show type of player, trying to be a hero at times) unlike the King he often involved his teammates. At his young age -- his leadership and basketball skills is so amazing. He's like Michael Jordan when it comes to scoring, and a Magic Johnson or Jason Kind when it comes to assist. Oh my, common let's analyze well the player's way of playing basketball. Ask theose NBA hall of famers - and they may agree with these stuffs.

Although Lebron won the MVP award in 2009, Kobe made a statement last year by winning another championship. I think Lebron will continue to dominate in numbers. However, the Lakers are going to be the team to beat in 2009-10. I personally think Lebron is better than Kobe, but until he wins a championship, there is no reason to debate the issue.
