It appears this is the year Lebron is proving to be better than Kobe. However, many people have voted that Kobe is better than Lebron. I am curious after the last game between the Cavs and Lakers, what fans think.

I definitely agree I think lebron is definitely the best right now because ppl just thinking about the career so far but we are talking about this yr and that is lebron even last yr he was the best MVP shown that the championship is the proof of a better team so I will said without a doubt the king is the best PLAYER meaning he does it all kobe is the best shooter there's a difference so the NBA 2010 MVP award goes to Lebron James (The Chosen One)
Lebron is clearly the better player. Lebron edges Kobe in Points, assists, rebounds. blocks, FG %, and 3pt %. The only statistical category that Kobe is better is FT %.
And just so you know Shaq won MVP while having the one of the worst FT % in the whole league. I don't even know why this is even a dicusson. We are talking about the best player. Not who just one an NBA championship with a good team.

lebron is not better than kobe. kobe has four rings. and dont say SHAQ WAS THE REASON. shaq couldnt win without wade. jordan couldnt have won without pippen. duncan couldnt have won without parker and ginobli. pierce couldnt have won without garnett and allen. the list goes on. i think my work is done.
Lebron this yr is considerably better than Kobe! Four rings that you have to give shaq majority of the credit the fact that shaq won a ring with wade after that is proof! Kobe had to have the deepest bench in the league to win because he doesnt make his teammates better his selfishness is a team killer! If you watch basketball you can see that lebron makes every player on his team better and builds there confidence you wont here anyone on his team complain bout touches, or mins cuz they love playin with him! Stats speak for themselves if you dont agree with fact Then at least listen to numbers!!!

You can not compare Lebron and Kobe because they are two diffrent kinds of players. Lebron is the best player when it comes to driving the lane...and Kobe is the best jump shot shooter that we have in the game. They both are the best at what they do. And how can anyone say that Kobe sucks...are you serious...Have you really seen him play
yes they are both best player of the league and they both different kind of specialties lebron is best in driving and Kobe is better in outside shooting, but till now since he's started playing in the NBA (LEBRON) he don't have NBA championship... where's the prove the he's better than KOBE! he don't have any championship ring. :-(

For all LEBRON JAMES FANS im so sorry! feel embarrass of him, he's not good enough to be named as the King and the best player of the league, still he can't bring his team to the Final... how did you say guys that he is better than KOBE??? he is still young and he needs lots of experience to become a champion...he's 2009 & 2010 MVP award is NOTHING! he is already 7yrs in the NBA and he don't have any championship ring, pity on him! he got a big paid in his team but i think its not worth for him, his useless... wahahaha! send him home guys and tell to plant rotten sweet potato! :-(

i think Kobe Bryant is the best than lebron james because lebron dont have any charisma to win the team unlike kobe. Kobe is one of the best player in this time, he is the NEXT of wilt chamberlain, dr. j, magic j, larry bird and michael jordan.
Lebron skill level and passion aint nowhere near Kobe's. Plus, Lebron dont have any heart or respect for the game and on top of that, he is a quiter. All Kobe do is win. dont get me wrong. Lebron is great but Kobe is Greater !!!

You give lebron Kobes team and change ron artest for a defensive shooting guard(like ron artest so lebron can play SF) and i guarantee you lebron would have as many rings as Kobe if not MORE.

How can you measure ONE man's skill by a team stat like Championship titles? lol RIDICULOUS. If you die-hard Kobe fans didn't know who these two players were & I showed you their stat sheets, you'd pick LeBron right off the back. How's about this for a stat. LeBron is 9-5 against Kobe for his career (outscoring Kobe in 9 of their 14 meetings) Not to mention he's done it with 2 completely different teams. A better scorer, passer, rebounder, defender & more efficient. Kobe has 5 rings & only 2 Finals MVP awards. Obviously, he's had TONS of help. You don't go 6/24 in game 7 of the finals & win unless you've got the team to carry you. Kobe is great & has accomplished more because he's been in the league TWICE as long, but LeBron is the flat out better overall player.
I don't know how people can say Kobe is better than Lebron. Out of the last 10 times the two have played each other, Lebrons team has won 8 times. Secondly, if you compare their stats side by side, Lebron has the better numbers across the board. The only category where Kobe wins is free throw percentage. Lebron has higher scoring, rebounding, assists, steals, blocks, field goal and 3-point percentage than Kobe.
